Steven Knight, creator of “Peaky Blinders,” is now presenting a new period drama series called “House of Guinness.” Knight, who has produced one of the most successful productions of recent years, will premiere on Netflix on September 25th.
House of Guinness is here
Knight, one of Hollywood’s most prolific screenwriters, continues to create content for television while writing the scripts for films such as “Maria” and the new “Bond” film. Following “Peaky Blinders,” Knight created series such as “See,” “SAS: Rogue Heroes,” and “A Thousand Blows.”
Netflix, which began promotional activities for “House of Guinness,” released the first images from the series yesterday. The series is set in 19th-century Dublin and focuses on the story of the family that founded Guinness, a three-century-old brand.
The events unfolding at the heart of the Guinness factory in the city offer a narrative rife with rebellion, power, and scandal. The series, centered on members of the Guinness family, features Anthony Boyle, Louis Partridge, Emily Fairn, Fionn O’Shea, and James Norton.
Steven Knight brought a family saga set in the dark, industrial streets of early-20th-century Birmingham with “Peaky Blinders.” With his new series, “House of Guinness,” the creator once again explores 19th-century Dublin, chronicling the rise of a family and its turbulent times. This new project further demonstrates Knight’s mastery of narratives steeped in historical context, laced with intrigue and power struggles.
